• Times Square Chain Restaurants Offering Ridiculously Overpriced NYE Options

Did you ever think you would hear the words Ruby Tuesday” and VIP table in the same sentence? Probably not, but this is America, and anything is possible— that’s why The Squander even exists.

Times Square Chain Restaurants Offering Ridiculously Overpriced NYE Options

This New Years Eve, Time Square’s finest chain restaurants are offering ridiculously overpriced options for dinner options, according to The Daily Mail.

It’s not surprise that businesses around the nation’s most popular NYE destination- Times Square- are cashing in on the opportunity to make tons of money from the abundance of tourists in town.

What is surprising is that Olive Garden, Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. and Ruby Tuesday are among the pricier options.

Ruby Tuesday, the Daily Mail says, is offering a $1,600 option for folks that could possibly fathom spending so much at a chain restaurant. The money gets them champagne, open bar, food and party favors but no actual view of the main attraction- the ball dropping.

Olive Garden is charging a much more modest $400 a person and including unlimited food and drink, but the thought of paying such a hefty price for some imitation Italian food just seems wrong.

At Planet Hollywood, the article says, a VIP table for JUST 3 will run for almost $1,600- and includes only a lousy bottle of vodka, a bottle of Champagne with a sparkler, and VIP service to spend even more money. Who would have thunk a business with only three stars on Yelp could charge so much.

If you’d even think about participating in such Squanderous activities for your NYE options, let us know.
