Former Maxim model Alejandra (Ali) Campoverdi made news this month for having jumped into the Congressional race. Campoverdi is running in a special election to replace another Congressman who is taking an Attorney General position.
But how much is this Maxim Model and legislator net worth?
Alejandra Campoverdi is not just a model. In fact, she did the modeling work in order to pay for her college education at USC. In addition to doing modeling work for Maxim, she has been an actor.
But Alejandra Campoverdi also has a long and highly accomplished career as a government official and executive. She was an organizer for Latino issues starting in high school, and after graduating with a journalism degree from USC, she got an MS from Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government.
After Harvard, Campoverdi became a top official for the Obama administration, focusing on Latino outreach. She eventually left that position to become an executive at Univision. Later, Campoverdi went on to help found the millennial TV and online network Fusion.
Alejandra Campoverdi was extremely poor when she was young, having a single mother who earned very little money. However, she used her modeling career to pay for her education.
Surprisingly, Campoverdi’s modeling career is likely to have made her only a small amount, even though she did some prestigious shoots, like the one with Maxim. Maxim generally only pays a few thousand dollars for photoshoots.
Like most models, Campoverdi is estimated to have made at most $50,000 per year from modeling.
However, Campoverdi then went on to be a top official in the Obama administration. As the first ever Deputy Director of Hispanic Media, she would have earned around $150,000.
Much of Alejandra Campoverdi’s money was earned during her time as executives at Univision and Fusion. TV executives earn several hundred thousand dollars — and given that Campoverdi helped found Fusion, she would have earned a lot from that deal.
So what is Alejandra Campoverdi net worth? Given her earnings in government and running TV networks, we estimate her net worth at around $1 million. If she does win the race for House of Representatives, she will earn around $175,000 per year.
