Alison Brie was born on December 29th, 1982 in Hollywood, California, U.S. and is an American actress as well as a producer and model. Her mother is Jewish while her father has Dutch, English, and Scottish ancestry. Her parents got actually divorced when she was young as they were hardly ever together when she was growing up as a kid. Brie began acting at the Jewish Community Center in Southern California and this is where she started to love the career choice. With this experience, she eventually graduated California Institute of the Arts in 2005 where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Theater. Before getting any major TV or movie roles, she did Theater in the state of California and even performed as a clown at children’s birthday parties.
Her acting career did not start until she managed to be an extra in the Disney show called Hannah Montana. It was not until she got cast in the role as Trudy Campbell in the show Mad Men did she start to become a household name. Mad Men started in 2007 and lasted until 2015 and it was a recurring role. She managed to star in 36 episodes of the crime drama. Another show that made her famous is the comedy Community. This was her first main role of a TV show and ran for six years and she managed to get nominated for several acting awards for it.
While most of her success comes from TV shows, she has starred in several Hollywood movies over the years. She mostly only got small roles in unknown movies, but her biggest movie role to date came in 2011 where she played the role of Rebecca Walters in Scream 4. Arguably though, her biggest movie role ever is voicing the character of Princess Unikitty in The Lego Movie. The role and movie were hits that she is playing the character again in The Lego Movie 2: The Second Part releasing in 2019. She did reprise the role of Unikitty again in the video game called Lego Dimensions.
In terms of her personal life, Alison Brie met Dave Franco and they started dating in 2012. Some of you will know Dave Franco as being the younger and not as famous brother to actor James Franco.
