Bruce Jenner’s transformation has been called groundbreaking and an inspiration for people facing gender identity crisis’ all over the world. His interview with Diane Sawyer acted as a tell-all for what media reports had been speculating for months, and now she graces the cover of Vanity Fair fully transformed and with a request to be referred to as Caitlyn, which will be honored here.
Jenner did not make any money from her interview with ABC, notable because of the special’s record-high ratings, but certainly has been doing well as a staple of the hit reality show, Keeping Up with the Kardashians. The show launched the career of the members of her family and made them essentially public icons, for better or worse.
According to OK! Magazine, she makes around $35,000 per episode. Given the fact that there has been nine episodes of the show, that money sure does add up.
She has also made some of her fortune from her motivational speaking gigs. Being a former Olympic gold medal winner and the poster for American success, she has served as a role model even before stepping up to share her personal life with the world. Rumor is she will continue speaking and will now serve as a role model for the transgender-ed community as well.
