Haskins played basketball in college with Western Kentucky Hilltoppers basketball (1964-1967) and started playing professionally in 1967. In the 1967 draft, Haskins was chosen number 3 in round 1 by the Chicago Bulls. Haskins left the game of basketball in 1976.
Haskins played for the Chicago Bulls during 1967-1969 as well as the Phoenix Suns in 1970-1973. Later, Haskins played for the Washington Bullets throughout 1974-1975.
