David Cage is actually a pseudonym because the game developer’s real name is actually David De Gruttola. Anyway, he was born on June 9th, 1969 in Mulhouse, France. Before making very great video games, the man was a freelance music composer taking part in a variety of projects in his early years. One of the most famous things he scored was for the video game called Timecop back in 1995. He scored many other video games, although his mark on the industry did not become famous until after he decided to make his own video game projects.
Once he founded his own studio called Quantic Dream, he developed his first video game for the PC and Dreamcast called Omikron: The Nomad Soul. This was an enjoyable action adventure video game, although it did not get as much recognition as his future projects. After that, he went on to direct Fahrenheit (or Indigo Prophecy in North America) which was a cinematic interactive drama action-adventure video game released back in the PS2/Xbox era. After the release of Fahrenheit/Indigo Prophecy, he released arguably his best ever game to date as Quantic Dream released the very enjoyable Heavy Rain for the PlayStation 3 console in 2010.
