    Dylan Ratigan first got into journalism in the financial space. After working at Bloomberg, and writing for multiple news outlets, he started building his own television shows, the first of which was morning call on Bloomberg TV.

    After a while, Ratigan moved over to CNBC where he got a job hosting multiple shows. After a while, Ratigan was selected to host a new show  which featured day traders who reportedly made a large amount of money in the markets. The show, fast money, became a huge hit, and helped  increase Ratigan’s  visibility throughout the network.

    Ratigan made a huge change in his career after the 2008 financial crisis, when he decided that what he was doing was not helping people. He decided to get into other forms of news and commentary, which allowed him to eventually create a show on MSNBC  called the Dylan Ratigan Show.

    The show ran for around two years before Ratigan decided to leave the network in order to pursue other opportunities. Ratigan, like his fellow host on MSNBC, Cenk Uygur,  was not happy with the direction of the network. 

    After his time with NBC, Ratigan went on to become an entrepreneur. He started a farming business, called Helical Holdings, in order to help provide technology to avoid water shortages. He continued running the company while also becoming a contributor to The Young Turks While working on other ventures such as a book and columns.
