Patriot’s wide receiver Julian Edelman recently participated in one of the most epic of fails after he bombed an attempt to be a car salesman. Jokingly (we hope) participating in the stint because he’s spent all of his Super Bowl money on “exotic haircuts,” we’re wondering how much the star athlete is really worth these days.
Growing up in a football family with a dad who coached and an older brother who played, Edelman was destined to play, and he did from as early on as he could.
As seventh round pick to the Patriots during his draft to the NFL, Julian Edelman was unsure of his fate but persevered and is now a staple on the Super Bowl-winning team.
According to Spotrac.com, for this year, “Edelman will earn a base salary of $2,250,000, a signing bonus of $3,000,000, a roster bonus of $656,250 and a incentive bonus of $500,000. Edelman has a cap hit of $4,656,250.”
Edelman’s contract with the Patriots was for $17,000,000 for a four-year period and he received a $5,000,000 signing bonus.
