Kareena Kapoor Khan To Star Opposite Irrfan Khan In Hindi Medium Two
The world has been waiting for Kareena Kapoor Khan to announce her new project after the successful Box Office run of her film Veeray Di Wedding. The actress plans on doing one movie per year because her son Taimur Ali Khan is still very young. After much speculation, it is being said the actress has signed on to star opposite Irrfan Khan in Hindi Medium 2. According to reports, Kareena is set to take on the role of a police officer for the first time in nineteen years.
Hindi Medium 2 is a satire based on the education system for children and was among the most loved films of 2017. The original starred Irrfan Khan and Saba Qamar in the leading roles. For quite some time, rumors have been circulating about the sequel and the actress that has been roped in to star alongside Irrfan Khan apparently is Kareena Kapoor Khan.
A while ago Pinkvilla had exclusively reported that Kapoor was approached for Hindi Medium’s sequel, and now, it is has been confirmed that she is on board.
Poo is always the center of attention, right? Some reports claim that Kapoor will play the role of a police officer in Hindi Medium’s sequel. Yes, Kareena fans, you’ve read that right! For the first time in the actress’s 19-year-old career, she will be seen as a cop in the satire based on the education system.
Insiders claim Kareena is not only ready to take on the meaty new role but is extremely excited to be working on the film as well. It’s also been reported that Bebo will start shooting for the Irrfan Khan starer Hindi Medium’s sequel before Karan Johar’s Takht goes into production.
A prominent Indian website Mid-Day has said, “While the film kicks off in April, Kareena will join the unit by the end of May during the London schedule. She will take on the role of a cop in the satire. While she loved the script, Kareena was just as excited to play a police officer for the first time in her 19-year-long career. She intends to wrap up the sequel by November, in time to begin shooting for Karan Johar’s period drama Takht.”
After starring in a chick flick, this is one collaboration between two that everyone is looking forward to.
The sequel is going to be titled English Medium and will be based in the US. The story will revolve around Irrfan Khan’s daughter who will be heading to the US for higher education. Irrfan Khan is all set for his comeback after treatment of his neuroendocrine tumor and plans to start shooting on the film soon.
