The lockdown measures haven’t allowed the royal family to organize a birthday bash. Nevertheless, Kate Middleton’s children have made sure to make the 39th birthday memorable for their mom. The Duke of Cambridge, Prince William, and the kids hosted a tea party for Cambridge’s Duchess at their country home Ammer Hall in Norfolk.

The royal couple had to celebrate the festive season at their home. They had plans to spend Christmas with Kate’s family at Bucklebury, Berkshire. However, both London and Berkshire are under Tier 4 lockdown. According to the rules, it doesn’t allow to spend overnights and household mixing as well. It was the first Christmas that the Royal couple didn’t spend it with their family. Now, at Kate Middleton’s 39th birthday, it wasn’t possible to have a home party for friends and family. Therefore, Prince William and the kids arranged a tea party at home for the Duchess of Cambridge. In December 2020, Prince William also expressed the frustrations of staying at home and said it is quite difficult to make plans accordingly.

Kate usually celebrates her birthday by hosting some of her friends and family, including her parents, Carole and Michael. Currently, the United Kingdom is experiencing a third major lockdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It means that all the schools will remain closed even after the holidays.
