Kate Millett began her career after graduating from the University of Minnesota. She spent several years as a educator at Columbia University, and at Barnard College. She also completed her PhD at Barnard.

In total, Millett did dozens of art exhibits and galleries throughout the world. She also wrote nearly a dozen books, starting in 1970 and ending in 2001 with her final book, Mother Millett.
Millett also did nearly a half dozen films, including Three Lives, Not a Love Story: a Film about Pornography, Bookmark, the Real Yoko Ono, and more.
