Born on March 14th, 1959 in St. Paul, Minnesota to a Latvian American couple, Laila Robins has three sisters. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin–Eau Claire and went on to obtain her Master of Fine Arts from the Yale School of Drama. Her long term partner since 2000 is the actor Robert Cuccioli, with whom she acted in Macbeth at the Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey.
