One of the only people in this world who could experience sadness in the summertime has done incredibly well for herself.
Lana Del Rey, born Elizabeth Woolridge Grant, experienced success with her first big single “Summertime Sadness” that become a break-out hit.
Lana started her career in music and performing at the age of 18, when she went to Fordham University to study higher education.
In her senior year (2007,) Lana was signed to her first record deal.
The first E.P. she ever released, in fact, was still under her birth name Lizzy Grant, but due to legality has never been released.
Three years later, she released her debut studio release called Lizzy Grant a.k.a. Lana Del Rey,
Two years after that, Lana experienced what would bring her to great success through her 2012 single, Summertime Sadness. Not only a huge hit in the club scene, the song became a global hit.
Now, Lana Del Rey might as well be a household name and is certainly a defining artist of the time.
The sensation recently just purchased a $3,000,000 mansion in Malibu to reward all that hard work. No reason to be sad in the summer there.
