American businessman and stock investor, Peter Lynch, is one of the wealthiest men in Boston. In the ’80s, Lynch grew the assets as a manager at Fidelity Investments to reach $14 billion. As one of the greatest investors in business, today, Peter Lynch has an estimated net worth of $352 million.
Lynch graduated Boston College in 1965 with a degree in finance, and began his work at Fidelity as an investment analyst. In 2007, Lynch was the vice-chairman of Fidelity’s investment adviser.
In an interview with Frontline, Lynch said: “ I was the textile analyst, the metals analysts, and I remember the second year I got a raise to $17,000.”
Lynch also wrote numerous investment books, including “One Up On Wall Street” (1989), “Beating The Street” (1993), and “Learn To Earn” (1996). Since his retirement, he has been an active philanthropist. He and his wife have given over $100 million to education.
