The couples in Denmark celebrates 12 and a half year of marriage, which is known as a copper wedding – because it’s halfway to 25. The Royal couple tied the knot on May 24, 2008. It’s also a special day, as the wedding of Joachim’s parents King Frederick IX and Ingrid of Sweden, also marks on the same day. Prince Joachim and his wife, Princesses Marie, are blessed with two children. Earlier this year, Prince Joachim had to go through brain surgery as there was a blood clot in his brain. The 51-years-old royal was moved out of the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) a few days after the successful surgery. He moved to his home and continued the recovery.
