It seems like that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge may have to cancel their Christmas plans. It is due to the new COVID-19 wave that has hit England. The mutated virus is engulfing the country, and the government has imposed strict restrictions. It was planned initially that Prince William, Kate Middleton, and their children would spend the holidays with Kate’s family at Bucklebury, Berkshire. Both London and Berkshire have been placed under Tier 4 lockdown. It doesn’t allow to spend overnight away from home and all household from mixing. It would have been the first Christmas celebration that Kate and William would be celebrating with the Middleton family. However, in recent years both have been spending their Christmas with the Royal Family.

Earlier this month, Prince William expressed his family’s frustrations about how they will spend their holidays. He further added that it is difficult to make plans. Queen Elizabeth has also canceled her regular trip to Sandringham. Prince Phillip and Queen Elizabeth will stay at Windsor Palace. They have spent much of their lockdown period over there. Prince William has also been infected by a coronavirus earlier this year. However, he recovered, and now he’s healthy. However, now the rising cases in London and beyond have forced the government to take strict actions to stop the virus’s spread. They have imposed Tier 4 lockdown in many parts of the country, and people aren’t allowed to mix with others or go for overnight stays.

However, now their plans have been canceled, and they would have to stay at home due to the rising cases COVID-19 cases in England, and the government has also imposed strict restrictions on movement. There’s also a travel ban, and no one can exit or enter the Tier 4 regions. It has also been announced that Queen Elizabeth has canceled the annual holiday celebration at her Sandringham estate.
