A whirlwind of controversy surrounding things Raven-Symone has said during her time as a contributor on The View has rumors circulating that she might lose her job- but no worries for her, because according to her net worth, she’s set for life.
At the time of this article posting, more than 80,000 people have signed a petition to get Raven-Symone fired from the view, according to TheRoot.com.
The petition is circulating after many had the last straw with Raven-Symone’s outspoken nature, who when talking about the incident of a school resource officer assaulting a student at Spring Valley High School last week, said the student should not have been on her phone.
She also made news just a couple weeks ago when she said she would not hire someone with a ghetto name.
But despite the controversy around her opinions, Raven-Symone has certainly accomplished a lot so far.
“With her hit show, her albums and the Cheetah Girls brand, Raven-Symone provided a template for Miley Cyrus and the Jonas Brothers to follow–which Cyrus parlayed into success with Hannah Montana before breaking out to become a major pop star,” says The Daily Beast.
Indeed, for those unfamiliar, Raven-Symone achieved her celebrity status after being the star of one of Disney’s longest running original shows, That’s So Raven. The show ran from 2003-2007 and by the end of it she was rumored to make $35,000 an episode, a major contribution to her currently impressive net worth.
Let’s not forget, Raven-Symone also was one of the members in the all-girl band The Cheetah Girls and acted in the popular Fox show Empire.
