Roy Halladay is a former baseball superstar, whose pitching career spanned over a decade and included some stunning, record-breaking achievements. Sadly, according to Google News/WTSP, his plane crashed on November 7, 2018, and he was killed.

Roy Halladay began his career in baseball at a young age, playing the game for fun through his teen years. He finished high school and immediately got into the draft, where he was picked for the Toronto Blue Jays. He soon made it into the major leagues, where he stunned team management with several spectacular games.
Halladay had a few bad seasons, before he returned to having record seasons, with excellent ERAs and hundreds of strikeouts. He made the all star team and brought the Blue Jays to the World Series, before having some additional trouble due to injury.
Nevertheless, he had a salary of over $13 million per year, and was able to continue his contract into the 2010s. He was eventually traded to Philadelphia where he got a deal that paid him up to $80 million.
In 2010 and after, Halladay had some spectacular seasons, with a perfect game in 2010, and then starting in the 2011 All Star Game.
Once again, however, he suffered from injury in 2012-2013, and he ended up retiring after that.
Roy Halladay was well known for his charity. He had spent millions on charity donations, including $100,000 per year to the Jays Care foundation. Additionally, he used to help sick kids at hospitals and invite them to spend time with him.
Halladay had an A5 ICON plane, which is the one that crashed, which can cost up to $250,000, depending on accoutrements.

Roy Halladay had some extremely high paying deals, that were worth millions per year. However, he wasn’t always able to capitalize fully on his contracts, because of injuries.
