This weekend, Scott Blumstein ended a wild 2018 World Series of Poker with a $8.15 million win, as well as the World Series of Poker bracelet.
This is a huge windfall for Blumstein, who was actually at his first World Series of Poker main event.
So what is Scott Blumstein net worth?
Scott Blumstein went from relative obscurity to win the $8.15 million at the WSOP. His next competitor, Dan Ott, went home with around $4 million.
That’s quite a haul for Blumstein, who is only 25 years old. Before the WSOP, he was only known on the East Coast circuit. Here’s what he said to Poker News:
I never really had a ‘real’ job. I started watching and playing poker when Moneymaker won. I was just a kid. I know that sounds a bit cliche. Being here now and playing under the lights is so surreal. Day 7 was the first day I was on a feature table. I had to get used to the lights and cameras, but I settled in quickly and just tried to focus on the poker. A tournament is just a tournament and at the end of the day, it’s all poker.
Until the World Series of Poker, Blumstein had relatively meager winnings. He wan first place in a tournament at the Borgata for around $200,000. Poker News reports that that was around 2/3 of his total winnings to date.
With the $8.15 million win from this weekend, Blumstein’s net worth skyrockets significantly. In total, we estimate Scott Blumstein net worth at $8.5 million.
Not bad for a previously obscure poker player.
