Mohannad Halaweh and Nhimia Kahsay, both 19 of Santa Rosa, California, were pulled over in an orange McLaren sports car worth an estimated $240K. The teens rented the McLaren for $13K — with a stolen credit card.
This isn’t an isolated incident for the Harold and Kumar of high-end theft — earlier this year, Halaweh tried to buy fourteen iPhones and two laptops with a fake credit card.
Officers pulled over the McLaren after it was reported stolen by the rental company. Both teens went without incident.
Halaweh was arrested on suspicion of possessing stolen property and credit card fraud; his bail was set at $100,000. Kahsay was arrested on outstanding fraud warrants and is expected to face additional charges in connection with the most recent incident, Raasch said. His bail was set at $60,000.
Both teens posted bail using…DAMN IT! They did it again!
