Thomas Markle Speaks Out Before The Birth Of The Royal Baby
It seems like Thomas Markle can’t give his daughter, Meghan Markle aka the Duchess of Sussex a break. The father of the newest member of the British Royal Family gave another interview on April 2nd, this time talking about the rumored feud between Meghan and Kate Middleton. He just can’t let go of the limelight, can he?
So, what did he say this time? He urged his daughter to mend her relationship with her royal sister in law, and he insisted that “this isn’t like her.” Markle also said, “If there is any animosity between Meghan and Kate they should put their differences aside.”
The former lighting director hasn’t talked to his daughter since the day after she got married to Prince Harry. Since been given the cold shoulder by both his daughter and the royal family, he has given many controversial interviews, which obviously haven’t helped his case.
Apart from giving fatherly advice, the estranged father also said that he is “very upset” at the negative press his daughter has been receiving. He is not really helping her case, is he?
He went on to say. “I don’t think Meghan deserves it, and I don’t think she is even doing one-third of the things she is being blamed of doing,” the grandfather to be, insisting he doesn’t believe “that Meghan is trying to hurt Kate in any way. But right now, I cannot call my daughter and say, ‘What is going on? How can I help you?’”
The pregnant Duchess and her father have been estranged for almost a year. The animosity started when Markle was embroiled in a paparazzi photo scandal a couple of days before the wedding, which he didn’t attend following a heart attack.
To make matters worse, he spoke out to multiple media outlets which further fractured the relationship. If that is not enough, Markle even took a couple of shots at his royal son in law, whom he has never even met, and dubbed the royal family as “cult-like.” Can you imagine that?
“The entire thing should have been one of the proudest moments of my life,” he said of the royal wedding and the Duchess’s pregnancy — she is expecting her first child with Prince Harry this month.
It seems all he wants is attention. Maybe he learned a trick or two from his older daughter.
“Now it’s like a dream that has quickly turned into a nightmare,” Markle told The Sun a couple of weeks ago. “The royal family and Meghan can help end this nightmare by just giving me a call. To this day, I can’t think of anything I’ve done to deserve how I’m being treated. I’ve been a good father, and I’ve done nothing wrong.”
He just doesn’t get it, does he? With the rate, he is churning out interviews he may never patch things up with Meghan. All he needs to do is lay low and redeem himself to the world, and his daughter.
