Patricia Lynn “Trisha” Yearwood is an American singer, songwriter, and author from Monticello, Georgia.
Thanks to her contribution to Garth Brooks’ album No Fences, Trisha Yearwood was later offered a deal by MCA Nashville Records which prompted the start of her music career. She released her first, self-titled album in 1991 with the single “She’s in Love with the Boy” peaking at number 1 on the Billboard Country Chart. The album led to several awards including an Academy of Country Music Award, and an American Music Award.
Trisha Yearwood later released Hearts in Armor the year after which received a similarly positive response from fans and critics despite the obvious departure from her previous sound.
