What is the world’s most expensive Christmas card like? No, surprisingly it’s not encrusted in gold and precious gems- but it does have something to do with The Beatles.
Going to auction recently, the world’s most expensive Christmas card includes the signatures of all four Beatles- Paul, John, George and Ringo- and was addressed to the British fan club founder, Sylvia.
“To Sylvia, Best Wishes” John Lennon signs.
Ringo Starr left Sylvia three kisses in the very British signature of “xxx.”
The 1963 Christmas card is attracting even more bidders than expected; with just over 2 hours left of auction at the time of this article posting, the item has reached a price tag of $ 3,306.
Just 13.8 cm x 18.0 cm unfolded, the over three-thousand-dollar Christmas card has certainly set a record, but that’s not entirely surprising from Beatles memorabilia- art and hand-written lyrics from Lennon have sold for over a million dollars, in same cases two.
A devoted fan and dentist paid over $31,000 for Lennon’s decaying molar in 2011.
We digress, check out most expensive Christmas stuff here.
